Next day, post-work and on my way to the airport, I dashed up to Maori Hill to check out a new cafe I'd heard was worth a visit. No. 7 Balmac is owned by the talented Katrina Toovey (ex-Nova and Abalone). It's stylish, relaxed and offers a great bistro menu for breakfast and lunch.
My wood-grilled scallopine of free-range chicken, served with wilted silverbeet, smashed potato and dressed with lemon and cold-pressed olive oil was worth nearly missing my plane for.

My partner and I finished off a lovely meal at No.7 tonight, and was surprised at how fantastic the food was. The Pork Loin is definitely a must try, and the Chocolate Fondant is also a must for all you chocolate lover�s out there.
Very good service, welcoming and warm. Our waitress made our visit a pleasure and would like to thank the team for a fantastic Valentine�s day. Cheers Guys.

I am writing to thank the staff at No7 balmac for their wonderful service and food at our family luncheon on Saturday, October 9th. Our family group, ranging in age from 11 to 87, was most impressed with the food and the very friendly and accommodating staff.
I will be happy to recommend No.7 to others traveling down your way, and certainly my family will be dining there again on our future visits.

Hi there,
I was part of the fantastic Christmas Party you hosted for us on Thursday. First of all I'd just like to say thanks for such a wonderful afternoon! It was my first time dining at No7Balmac and the food and service was second to none. The premises is so beautifully decorated and everyone was talking about the garden yesterday back at work - what a great idea. The fresh greens certainly make a difference to the taste of the food and the experience of the restaurant.
Thanks once again and I'm looking forward to my next brunch, lunch or dinner at No7Balmac. Cheers.
